Dear Beloved Parish Family,

As we step into the fresh dawn of 2024, I am filled with a sense of hope and anticipation for what the Lord has in store for us. January, a month symbolizing new beginnings, offers us a unique opportunity to reflect on our journey, renew our faith, & set our sights on the path ahead.

A Season of New Beginnings

This is a time for reflection, reinvigoration, and setting forth on new paths guided by faith. It's a period where we can look back at lessons learned and look forward with hope and determination. Let us use this season as a springboard for spiritual renewal and deeper commitment to our walk with God. Whether it’s through participating in Bible study groups, parish events, or committing to regular prayer, every step we take is a stride towards spiritual growth.

Vision for Growth

This year, our focus will be on both personal and communal growth. We aim to expand our outreach, welcoming more members into our loving community, and strengthening our support for one another. Remember that growth is not just in numbers, but in the depth of our faith and the impact of our service. Upcoming Events and Initiatives:

Disciples Women’s Meeting (FCC) will meet January 6th at 10am.

Disciples Parish Book Club Join us on Saturday January 13th at 10am as we share in the reading of Jan Richardson’s “Sparrow”. Coffee, Tea, and pastries will be provided. We will meet in the parlor at First Christian Church.

Community Outreach Programs: We are excited to launch new outreach programs this year. Stay tuned for announcements on how you can get involved in making a difference in our community.

Parish Potlucks will resume now that the holidays are over. Stay tuned for updates.

A Call to Serve As our church grows, so does the opportunity to serve. We are looking for volunteers in various ministries, including children's education, hospitality, media (parish website), and outreach. Your talents and time are invaluable gifts to our church family.

Gratitude and Hope

I am moved beyond words and offer a heartfelt thank you to each one of you. Your warm welcome, unwavering support, and guidance has been instrumental in fostering an environment where I can grow, learn, and flourish in my calling to serve God and our beloved parish. May this year be one of growth, joy, and deepened faith for all of us. I am excited to journey with each of you, hand in hand, as we walk into all that God has prepared for us.

Blessings,

Amber Fields Student Minister
